Desert Southwest… Antelope Canyon… 250+ Million Years Old… SPECTACULAR Natural Beauty!!

LOWER ANTELOPE CANYON

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by my visit to the Lower Antelope Canyon on the Navajo Indian Reservation near Page, AZ. The undeniable BEAUTY of the desert Southwest never ceases to amaze me! The Antelope Canyon is 250+ million years old and was created by erosion of the Kaibab sandstone, primarily due to the wind and flash floods. Words cannot even begin to describe the remarkable design of the sandstone, and sadly, my photographs don’t really do it justice either. All I can say is that Mother Nature is pretty darn AMAZING!!
